Vodafone (vodafone.co.uk/business) has reduced the price of its Standard business mobile broadband package to just £4.25 a month for the first 3 months, followed by £12.77 per month after.

Providing download speeds up to 7.2Mbps, the Vodafone Standard package includes a 3GB monthly data usage allowance which is sufficient to go online for 100 hours a month. A free USB modem stick (often referred to as the Vodafone dongle) is included.

The package also includes Basic PC Protection, plus Online Backup & Restore, which automatically backs up valuable files, invoices, contacts and more on a users’ PC. A 2GB data allowance is provided.

The Vodafone Standard Business Mobile Broadband package is available on a 24 month contract.

An 18 month contract is available on a tariff of £8.50 a month for the first 3 months, followed by £12.77 per month thereafter.

Vodafone (vodafone.co.uk) has refreshed its mobile broadband packages with the introduction of a new 3GB 12 month plan.

Known as ‘Mobile Broadband Standard 12 Months’, the new plan provides 3GB of data downloads per month, which is enough to go online for up to 100 hours a month.

The free USB modem stick included in the package can be plugged into any USB port to provide mobile broadband speeds of up to 7.2Mbps across 80% of the UK.

The USB stick also includes an 8GB microSD card slot which means users with a microSD card can quickly and easily swap files between their PC, MAC and phone.

FREE basic PC protection & 2GB PC backup is also included in the package which costs £15 a month.

Vodafone (vodafone.co.uk/freelaptops) has today announced the return of its mobile broadband and free laptop deals.

The two free laptops now available with Vodafone mobile broadband speeds up to 7.2Mbps are the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 netbook and the Samsung N130 netbook.

Worth £349, the ultra portable Dell Mini 10 netbook has built in Vodafone mobile broadband so there’s no need to plug in separate USB modem sticks or dongles to connect to the Internet.

The netbook weighs just 1.33Kg and features a 10.1″ widescreen LED display, 160GB hard drive for all your files and photos and 1GB of RAM.

It’s also equipped with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connnectivity, has the Windows XP Home Edition operating system and can also be plugged into a TV so photos and web pages can be seen on the big screen.

Weighing just 1.2Kg, the Samsung N130 netbook has the new Windows 7 operating system while video calls can easily be made using the high quality built in webcam.

Worth £299, its specification includes an Intel Atom N270 1.6Ghz processor, 160GB hard drive, 1GB RAM, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 10.1″ WSVGA widescreen display providing a clearer, brighter experience.

Both netbooks are available for free with a Vodafone mobile broadband pay monthly plan starting from £25 a month. This includes a 1GB download usage allowance per month which is enough for 30 hours of web browsing, 600 emails, 30 short video downloads and 60 music track downloads.

Users wanting 3GB’s of monthly data usage can pay £30 a month. This equates to 100 hours of web browsing, 2,000 emails, 100 short video downloads and 200 music tracks downloads.

Vodafone (vodafone.co.uk) has added two new free tools to its range of mobile broadband packages that protect a users personal computer (PC) and their files.

Available for free with Vodafone’s standard mobile broadband packages, PC Protection has anti-virus and anti-spyware software to keep out computer nasties, whilst also preventing people from seeing what you’re doing online.

Also included is PC Backup, a service that automatically and securely saves up to 2GB of your files.

Customers opting for a Premium or Ultimate Vodafone mobile broadband package will receive free PC Premium Protection which includes the same anti-virus and anti-spyware software, plus a spam filter and a firewall.

PC Premium Protection also includes a range of parental controls to help keep children safe when online, while a sizeable 20GB of your files can be saved automatically with PC Backup.

The new free tools come as part of a revamp of Vodafone’s mobile broadband packages which sees them split into Standard, Premium and Ultimate packages.

The Standard mobile broadband packages start from £5 a month for up to 7.2Mbps speeds.

Available for free with a Vodafone mobile broadband pay monthly plan starting from £35 a month, the Compaq Presario also comes with Windows Vista Home Premium and a one year warranty.

That’s in addition to its 250GB hard drive, 2Gb of RAM, 15.9″ HD display, DVD writer and full size keyboard.

There’s also 60 day trials of Microsoft Office and Norton Security included too.
