Orange (www.orange.co.uk) has launched a new mobile broadband dongle that enables users to boost their signal connection.

The new Option 515m Orange dongle has a high-performance antenna which optimises and boosts the Orange mobile broadband signal connection.

Available in a limited edition Orange design, the Option 515m dongle also includes a free 8GB MicroSD card that enables users to store their files and pictures.

Orange mobile broadband packages start from just £4.89 a month for up to 3.6Mb speeds and include the free Orange E1752 dongle.

Users wanting the new signal boosting Option 515m dongle will need to pay a one-off £20 for the dongle while stocks last.

Orange (www.orange.co.uk) has updated its range of mobile broadband free laptop offers with the addition of the Asus 1005H GO netbook and the Compaq Presario CQ61.

The Asus 1005H GO netbook has an embedded Orange SIM card for built in Orange mobile broadband, which means there’s no need to plug in a seperate USB modem stick.

This stylish Wi-Fi enabled netbook also has a Intel Atom N270 processor, 250GB hard drive, 1GB RAM and 10.1″ screen. The Windows 7 Starter operating system is also pre-installed.

Currently retailing for around £215, the Asus netbook is free when new customers take the £24.47 per month Orange mobile broadband plan that provides speeds up to 3.6Mbps and a 1GB data usage allowance.

Orange’s second new laptop, the Compaq Presario CQ61, is a classic high specified laptop which has a 15.6″ high definition display, AMD Sempron M100 processor, 250GB hard drive and 2GB RAM.

Windows 7 Home Premium is installed while a free Orange USB modem stick is supplied to connect the laptop to Orange’s mobile broadband network.

Worth £399, the Compaq CQ61 is available for free with the £34.25 per month Orange mobile broadband tariff which comes with a higher 5GB monthly data usage limit.

Orange (orange.co.uk) has been rated the UK’s number one for overrall mobile broadband quality for the second time following a recent YouGov Dongle Tracker survey.

The independent research conducted by YouGov surveyed 4,417 UK mobile broadband users between the 6th and 12th of October 2009.

The results placed Orange mobile broadband in number one spot for quality and value for money. Orange was also top in 9 out of 15 categories that included network coverage, ease of use and staying connected.

Orange UK’s Director of Broadband and Home, Asif Aziz said: “Being rated as top for our mobile network operator performance is a real honour and fantastic achievement”.

Orange (orange.co.uk) has revealed a 64% increase in mobile broadband users on its network following the release of its latest quarterly results.

The communications company, which offers both home and mobile broadband services, saw its mobile broadband subscriber base swell to almost 4.7 million customers – a year on year increase of 64%.

However, it was not all good news for the France Telecom owned company as its fixed line home broadband service experienced a 12.2% drop in users to just under 900,000.

In a move to reverse the drop, Orange has recently revamped its range of home broadband plans by boosting download speeds to up to 20Mbps and removing any usage caps (fair usage policies apply).

Monthly prices for 20Mbps Orange Home Broadband (plus UK weekend calls) now start from just £6.50 with Orange mobile customers able to get the service free for the first 3 months.

Orange customers can also benefit from cheaper mobile broadband plans with prices starting at £4.89 a month for speeds up to 3.6Mbps. Non Orange customers need only pay £9.79 a month.

Orange (orange.co.uk) looks set to end its 3 months half price mobile broadband offer on Monday the 31st August.

The offer is available online only to new and existing customers and applies to the the Orange 18 month 3GB and 10GB mobile broadband tariffs.

The Orange mobile broadband 3GB package provides speeds up to 3.6Mb with a 3GB monthly data allowance. With the offer, prices start from £7.34 a month for 3 months, followed by £14.68 a month after.

The 10GB package offers the same 3.6Mb speeds and comes with a higher 10GB data usage cap. Customers opting for this package will need to pay £12.27 per month for 3 months and then £24.47 per month after.

Both packages come with a free USB modem stick (available in black or white) and free next day delivery.

Existing Orange customers also have the choice of opting for a 500Mb tariff that costs just £4.89 a month for the duration of the 18 month contract.
