I enjoy 8Mb broadband from AOL, through the copper lines, and I am annoyed that the government is punishing us with this £6 levy on our phone lines, I made sure when BB came out I could afford the premium without going into the red on my bank account. Now the government is now proposing that we pay 50p a month to a private company, to have the other unfortunate souls to enjoy what I already get is ludicrous, first of all, are they getting this BB for free? Are they going to get brand new computers? And, Is it going to the right people who isn't going to abuse the BB, for there own game, ie, drugs? If the answer to 2 or even 3 are yes, I will cut my landline off, and get a dongle, for my main PC, as it will be a lot cheaper than what I pay out for now, in fact I will do anyway, as I think if you want these things, work for it, or save up like I did.

Ok, I will be going backwards when it comes down to technology, but I am one of the poor buggers, who look after my mum, UNPAID slaves, who doesn't do much with my life, and is in agony with my own joints, but I am damned if I am going to feed these scroungers I call the government, thought an enforced Tax, where no one should pay, unless they really want Broadband, then THEY pay for it themselves, as I had to my costs, and efforts, and what little I do get.
